• Injuries, limitations, and medical restrictions
• Workout history and performance metrics

Wellness Information (Optional)

You may choose to provide the following, which may be considered health-related information:

Usage Information

• Limited technical information necessary to maintain app functionality and security

3. Data Stored on Your Device

Some information is stored only locally on your device and is not, by default, transmitted to our servers. This may include:

• Cached workout plans

Some fitness data may be synchronized to cloud storage for Spotter Plus users, as described below.

4. Cloud Storage (Spotter Plus)

For Spotter Plus users, certain data may be synchronized to secure cloud storage through Supabase so it can be accessed across sessions and devices. This may include:

• Workout plans
• Workout history
• Fitness progress
• Personal records
• Bodyweight tracking
• Workout drafts

5. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Generate personalized workout plans and AI coaching responses
• Improve workout recommendations
• Synchronize data for Spotter Plus users
• Maintain app security and reliability

6. AI Processing

Spotter uses OpenAI's API, accessed through a secure Supabase Edge Function proxy, to generate personalized workout plans and to power the AI coach chat.

To provide these AI-powered features, the following information may be transmitted to OpenAI:

• Fitness profile information (such as age, height, weight, gender, fitness level)
• Goals and preferences
• Available equipment
• Injury and limitation information
• Workout plans
• Training history
• User coaching messages
• Chat conversation context

When you use the AI coach chat, your messages and the surrounding conversation context are transmitted to OpenAI solely to generate AI coaching responses. In some cases, user-provided profile information such as your name may also be included to personalize responses.

OpenAI is used solely to provide AI-powered features within the App. Data is shared only to provide the AI features you request and is not used by Spotter for advertising or marketing purposes. OpenAI's own privacy practices may apply to information processed through its services.

AI-generated recommendations are created automatically and may contain inaccuracies or unsuitable suggestions. Users remain responsible for evaluating whether recommendations are appropriate for their individual circumstances.

7. Third-Party Service Providers

We use trusted third-party service providers to operate the App.

Supabase

Supabase is used for:

• User authentication
• Account management
• Secure database and cloud storage

OpenAI

OpenAI is used to generate workout plans and coaching responses, as described in the AI Processing section above. OpenAI processes this information solely to provide AI-powered features within the App.

Apple (Sign in with Apple)

If you sign in using Apple, Apple may process your account information in accordance with its own privacy policy.

Google (Google Sign-In)

If you sign in using Google, Google may process your account information in accordance with its own privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

8. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

Where such transfers occur, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses and other legally recognized transfer mechanisms where required.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the App and fulfill legal obligations.

If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period unless retention is required by law.

The App is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. You must be at least 18 years old to use the App.
